First of all good news, I fixed the problem with my laptop (pheww) so here I am ! Today I want to introduce you to lovely designer Michelle Smith. Her collection for Spring 2013 reminds us of the 80's and shows a series of neon colour blocked bodycon dresses and separates with a sporty twist. Inspired by the concept of surrealism art, Smith included silver python skirts, transparent parkas and oversized mesh pieces. Athletic inspired dresses are featured with exposed back zippers and pencil skirts are boasted with retro ruffle details.
Smith excelled her collection with neon dyed prints such as a digital kaleidescope stretch cotton/satin pattern, which emerges on a contoured seamed dress or a ranguard top, matching track pants. She also introduced a few new silhouettes like a waterfall perforated leather jacket worn over an asymmetrical flouncy silk dress.
Smith used beautiful classic fabrics as tweed, knit, leather, oversized mesh, lace, organza and silk.
Shapes like pencil skirts, waterfall leather jackets and A line mini skirts strenghten the feminine touch of the collection. Stylish accessories as shield sunglasses, pvc neon tinged pumps and clutches in a series of colors like black, white, silver, apricot and two toned mixes like lime and blue complement the collection. Oversized leather totes and clutches, jersey banded black sandals and neon belts are a great mix to the materials of the apparel.
Enjoy the collection and let me know how you like it in the comment section. My favorites are the black/white & apricot color combinations as well as the limes in this collection.
